Declaring the praying mantis the official insect of West Virginia.
Whereas, The praying mantis eats harmful insects; and
Whereas, The praying mantis exists in abundance in West Virginia; and
Whereas, The praying mantis is helpful to agriculture by ridding gardens of harmful insects; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the praying mantis is hereby declared the official insect of West Virginia; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Governor.
